I am just an average Joe. I was an athlete in high school and was in outstanding physical condition throughout my entire time in the US Army. One day I looked up and was over 300 pounds and suffering from health concerns. So, I began the same quest that so many other people; to lose weight. Over the past five years, I have tried just about everything I could get my hands on. I even lasted 30 days on one of the programs! But do you know what all the programs had in common? I failed. I failed for two reasons. Reason #1 is they all had crazy rules that had to be followed. I am NOT a rule follower. Reason #2, and most important, is I was all alone in the journey. As soon as the self doubts or minor setbacks occurred, I was done. Then I found Macroholics! All of sudden I found myself in a community of people who are on the same path as me. I found out that food is not evil. I have learned that I can eat all the yummy stuff I enjoy and still lose weight. The Macroholics community has re-defined my relationship with food and I will never look back.
